Shilakrit's application is open.
We help Nepali students earn undergraduate admissions to leading U.S. universities.
What We Do
We select a small number of high-potential students for one-on-one mentorship and begin with an orientation on U.S. undergraduate admissions and scholarship opportunities.
Each selected student works directly with an Ivy League graduate for personalized guidance - from defining academic interests and building a college list to preparing and submitting complete applications to top U.S. universities.
Once admission offers are received, we provide step-by-step support for student visa applications, documentation, and interview preparation to ensure a smooth approval process.
Before departure, we assist students in coordinating travel from Nepal and arranging accommodation near their university, helping them settle confidently into their new academic life in the U.S.
Why We Do What We Do?
Across Nepal, countless talented students dream of studying at the world’s best universities but lack access to reliable guidance and mentorship. Too often, their potential goes unrealized, not because of ability but because of geography, lack of opportunity, or misinformation.
I was born in a remote village in Syangja and through perseverance, self-navigation, and the support of mentors who believed in me, I was fortunate to receive an education from an Ivy League university. That experience changed the course of my life and showed me how many others could do the same if given the right guidance.
At Shilakrit, I am on a mission to help as many Nepali students as possible realize their academic dreams, where tuition fees and geography are not limiting factors, and where character, curiosity, and commitment define success.
Because potential deserves a chance, no matter where it begins.

How Application Works?
We follow a simple and transparent process to ensure our mentorship reaches the students who will benefit most from it.
Students complete a short online application that helps us understand their academic background, interests, and motivation to study in the United States.
We carefully review all applications to identify students who show academic promise, intellectual curiosity, and a strong commitment to personal growth.
Shortlisted candidates are invited for an online conversation to discuss their goals, readiness, and alignment with the values of Shilakrit.
A small number of students are selected for our pro bono mentorship program. Those chosen receive one-on-one guidance throughout the entire admissions journey, from application to arrival.
What You'll Gain?
Program Costs
At Shilakrit, we believe that financial barriers should never stand in the way of opportunity.
Our mentorship program is offered entirely free of cost to selected students from across Nepal.
There are no application fees, no hidden charges, and no financial commitment required at any stage.
Selection is based solely on academic potential, character, and motivation, not the ability to pay.
We invest our time and resources to ensure that every deserving student receives the highest quality guidance, regardless of background.
